Default Lost MenuStrip & Toolbar

This is likely a case of me doing something stupid but any help would be appreciated.

I was working thru Appendix B creating the Time Tracker UI. I was fine up to about pg 648, everything was there. After I added the code for the Admin form up to page 664 the next time I ran the projects the MenuStrip & ToolBar are gone. I did move the project from my laptop to my desktop computer by copying the directory but I don't understand why that would make a difference.

I have a project I'm working on to replace a DOS based 1994 retail application. I think the material from the book is exactly what I need to make it happen.

If your laptop and desktop contain the same version of Visual Studio you should be fine. However, you should be able to just follow the steps to add the menu toolbar.

As a last resort, you could just download the code for Appendix B and then go from there.

I appreciate the quick response, thank you. I downloaded that sample code as you suggested. I copied over 2 of the Admin files from the sample code into my working directory and that fixed my problem. I was very happy in that the code wasn't changed so I could continued working through the appendix. The more I work through the code, the more I am please with your book. I do have another problem beyond the scope of your book. I want to have a calender function similar to Outlook in an application I will be working on. I was wondering if you could suggest an article or book that would include how to integrate a calender into the UI developed in appendix B?

Thanks again for your help.
Bob

Bob,

The Code Project Web site (http://www.codeproject.com) has numerous examples on calendars. This site is a good source for sample code that demonstrates many features of the .Net Framework in all languages. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find what you are looking for there.
