I have managed to get to the end of the visual basic part of the book without (too many) problems. Now I'm looking at the web side and have got totally stuck at the 'Try it out' starting on page 498. Everything seems to be typed in okay, but neither the Recalculate nor the IsNumeric scripts are being triggered. In other words the paragraph just above figure 14-5 on page 511 isn't working; I can enter letters and the total hours for each day of the week are not being calculated.

I know so little about JavaScript that I don't know how to test what's going wrong.

Any pointers as to where to look or how to debug the code would be appreciated. I have tried copying in the downloaded code, but it causes loads of errors.

Please note that I am using express versions of VB and Web Developer.

What browser are you using? Do you have the allow javascript feature enabled in your browser? Do you see a little error icon in the bottom left of your browser?
