Heya fellow beginners

I'm experrience an error when i debug the example:
Error 1 Use of unassigned local variable 'imagCoord'

I really don't know what's happening. If i give imagCoord a value there's no more errors, but the program won't work as intended...

Hi BjarneW,

There are several differences in your code and that example in the book.

#1 Line 4: You are initialising your first iteration with 'realCoord' when it should be 'imagCoord'. This is what is giving you the error message that you mentioned.

#2 Line 6: You are initialising 'realCoord' to '-0.06' rather than '-0.6'. This doesn't cause your program to fail, it just causes the output to be only partially displayed.

#3 Line 18 You are using the '*=' operator rather than the '+=' operator. This doesn't stop the program from compiling .. but it does give you an incorrect display - it doesn't display the Mandlenrot set.
