Hi guys,

I was doing the exercise for chapter 21; Try It Out : Writing Data to Random Access File.

I ran the exact code the authors wrote. The program runs well and the file is created and everything, but there is nothing in the file.

I have been trying to get any of the authors to respond to my questions, but to no avail. Can anyone please tell me whats wrong?

Did you do a Close or Dispose? Maybe just the buffer wasn't written to the disk.

Malie, how did you try to get in contact with the authors?

Yeah thanks. You were right. I closed the stream and it worked. I think the authors dont read through the code, giving us unnecessary headache.
