Coming from an ASP 3.0 background, I find that VB.NET is just as difficult to learn as C#.NET. I decided to go with C# because it is more like PHP, JavaScript, and Java. I can't see a big difference between VB.NET and C#.NET so far. Learning the .NET Framework is a major part of learning either one. Once you know the .NET Framework, switching back and forth between VB.NET and C#.NET is not difficult. Of course, I'm only a beginner, so there may be good reasons to go one way or the other that I'm not aware of.
