Default Confusion

I am BRAND NEW to programming. I am following along with the book, and I thought I was getting somewhere with my work. I typed everything in EXACTLY as it was in the book onto my TextEditor, and saved it as .HTML but when I click the link it shows us as if it was still in TextEditor format. It's like my browser doesn't recognize my file type. I could really use some advice.

If you're using TextEdit on a Mac, this is because TextEdit has changed some since this book was written. You'll need to change a couple of configuration settings:

If you're using a different editor or this isn't the problem you're having, please elaborate and we'll try to help.
