Hi,
I have just started having a go at HTML and CSS and found the Instant Results book incredibly useful and informative.

I know i am missing some basic knowledge as I have been rushing to learn CSS but I would really appreciate an explanation why I cannot combine Project 6 with 10. I was trying to put the curved border box round the 3 calenders and it didn't work.

Those projects can certainly be combined. It just depends on which curved box approach you wanted to use and how you were approaching it.

Can you post the source code you were using or a link to it? That would help me troubleshoot.
