Default New to VBA Need a Ref (have 2007 vs XP concern)

Hi everyone. I am looking to get my feet wet with Excel VBA. I consider myself a knowledgeable programmer. My concern is I use Excel XP at work. Can I get by with this 2007 text? I know there are some differences but wasn't sure how drastic the changes would be. Thanks in advance.
