Code For 2nd edition
Good Afternoon,
I was excited to find this book. It looked like it was going to enhance my knowledge. I saw that there were files to download for the 2nd, as well. This is why I choose this book to purchase. The files are not usable. Example when I click to download lesson 4 "PK!)N²z[Content_Types].xml ¢( ÃVÃNã0}GÃËüºŠ]î«USx$à \{ÃxëÃâg(ÃÃ3I¹ì¢ÃnÃæ%Q âùxä9".
The files for the 1st edition of the book are good. However, I would love to have the code that goes with the 2nd edition.
Looking forward for the corrected files.
Thank you

debrucato: I just download the file for chapter 4 as well as several others to test and they download and opened just fine. Perhaps it was a temporary server glitch that is working now if you would like to retry.
FYI, the currently posted files are the advanced lesson files for the videos. The files for the examples in the book will be posted very soon.

Try it files
I'm having the same problem with the Try It files for the second edition, i.e. no zip file downloads, just an html page with incomprehensible symbols. The Advanced Files downloaded fine.

It's possible that there's an intermittent server issue causing bad pages to load but when I check it now, I get all the download links and the ones I tested are all working.

Thank you for telling us about this and for buying the book. I'll pass this on to the publisher.
Can you please clarify, is it only the Lesson 4 file that cannot be downloaded, or have you found this to be the case with other lessons' files?
Meanwhile, feel free to email me directly and I will send you the original downloadable file for Lesson 4. My email address is at the beginning of the book, on the "About The Author" page.

alojzs: I just downloaded the code again and it's working. I suspect whatever problem prevented it for you was temporary and has been corrected.

Excel 2011 for the Mac
Thanks for the invitation and yes I do have a couple of queries to start!
Q1: I have a copy of Excel VBA 2nd edition and am running Excel 2011 on an iMac. I notice many of the shortcut keys are different in this version, is there a list somewhere of differences between Excel 2013 and 2011?
Q2: Previously I have been using Excel97 on an old Vista Laptop. the macros produced on that seem to transfer to 2011 without changes except for one annoying problem. Dialog boxes on the iMac (where designed on the PC) display very small and have to be re-edited to make them readable. Is there a simple fix for this?
Incidentally - for the record - the downloads are fine, they work properly when unpacked. No issues there.
Regards,
David
