Default some topic get harder to understands

I am reading this book since 2 month and i reached to chapter 19 all example work great but its hard to understands to beginner . In chapter 16 Excecutorservice class get frustrated it not provide basic use its getting complicated please provide some easy code.

this book also have some drawback it dont have java.sql class which are verry verry important in dekstop application .similar java.netwoking class please refer me the link where i studidy about htis claass pleaz.....
thak you other wise your book is really awosme to deal with real programing
