The Data Source Configuration wizard’s option to connect to a database (for Windows Forms applications) is mentioned on page 1291 as not being present in an early version of Visual C++ 2008 due to a bug, and the reader is advised to look for updates, to correct that bug, to be able to try the last three examples in the chapter, and to be able to try all four exercise problems at the end of the chapter. I looked and, based on what I read, the omission is not a bug, but is intentional. If so, that is disappointing.

Does anyone have any workaround suggestions or other relevant information that you would like to share? Thanks.
