Default Where to go next

I have just started using this book to learn VC++ 2010, and I was wondering about where to go next (other books, websites) after I finish this book.

Lucky for you, I'm just starting this eBook series wish me luck my friend. I guess the only thing for you to do more is just "perfect" your c++ skills. Im my opinion that's what I'll do. No need to learn every language within a year.

I just started too, very good book so far, but i noticed after following every steps in "EX1_01" I could not get the console window to stay open, i had to insert a new line not listed in the book to keep it open, i checked and rechecked the code and it was correct but without that new line it won't stay open.

Can somebody confirm that?...please

The new line = system ("pause") just before the " return 0; "

Thanks.

Default Good for followup

I have identified and downloaded these books from Amazon. I use the Kindle for PC which makes it very easy and a little cheaper to buy the books on Amazon. These are the books I got:

C++ Common Knowledge by Stephen Dewhurst
C++ Programmiong by Larry Ullman

There are a lot of more advanced books on VS2010 also, but they cover the other Studio languages as well. You need to decide if you want to learn more about VS, or more about C++. Most of the books on VS focus on C# and VB because those have become the most popular languages used in VS. You'll also see a lot of Web development coverage.

In short, if you want more VS, you'll end up learning some of the other languages included in the Studio, if you want to focus on more advanced C++, you'll have to get books focused on C++ and not VS specifically. That's what I am doing now, but I plan on coming back to VS afterwards and learning the ccomplete environment, including C# and web development.

Default Where to go next

If you are wondering where to go next, then consider Africa a safari in Africa has been "on my list" for the last couple of years. For me, this is the final journey experience.However, while my vision of a safari includes seeing the Big Five in lots of game drives, but also includes the amazing food and luxury lodges - and sunset cocktails !
