Question Lesson 30: Starting a GlassFish-managed broker directly is not allowed?

Hello,

I'm trying to start Open MQ broker in Windows, as explained in Lesson 30, at page 428.

I edited imqenv.conf, adding the following line:
Code:
IMQ_DEFAULT_JAVAHOME=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_20
I get the message "Starting a GlassFish-managed broker directly using imqbrokerd is not allowed".

Wondering if anybody else had this problem and found a workaround.

Cristina

Thanks for your prompt reply! The answer from the link you provided is very clear and easily understandable.

I guess I'll have to define a new JMS physical destination, TradingOrdersQueue, using the GlassFish administration console pictured in Figure 30-7.

Hi Christina,

Yes you will.

By the way, the book also includes access to training videos. Did you have a chance to view those? We show you how to set this up step-by-step in the video.
