Dear Forum,

I am working my way through SECTION III: SQL Server Analysis Services. I only had a developer copy of SQL Server 2008 and therefore decided to upgrade to SQL Server 2012 developer edition to enable me to complete the lessons (In 2008 R1 BI options were missing for reporting etc). The 2008 R2 developer edition was not available in the UK so I went 2012!

Anyhow question...

Does anyone know if there have been changes in the Browser tab - when browsing the cube? I have followed the lessons exactly and have full administrative permissions on my own home box however the hierarchical structure shown in the book/video is not the same in SSDT?

Firstly placeholders for the Drop Filter Fields Here | Drop Column Fields Here | Drop Row Fields Here | Drop Totals or Details Fields are missing?

Second when I have dragged the measures or attributes across in the Browser tab to the fields area I get no expand (+) or collapse (-) buttons?

Further info: I've deployed the Lesson14Complete solution as discussed in Lesson 15. I've changed the Impersonation Information credentials to use my windows admin account from Inherit.

Otherwise I find it a great book, I'm wondering what's changed, whether I'm making a stupid mistake, if it's because I'm using SSDT 2012 or what is going on here - all help gratefully received...
