Default Type Text in Drop Down List

Hello,

I am a new joiner in your forum, I was checking if it is possible to add a text option after creating Look Up Tables, and I am also getting extra spaces while creating lookup tables where the drop down list goes more than 100 items.

Regards,

Abhishek Ghai

Default Can you provide more info?

Hello Abhishek,

Thank you for posting your question in the "Microsoft Access 2010 24-Trainer" book forum. It looks like you had a couple of different questions, which were:

1. You said: "I was checking if it is possible to add a text option after creating Look Up Tables". You should just be able to add the new text item as a new record into the lookup table itself. Does that make sense and is that what you are asking here?

2. You said: "I am also getting extra spaces while creating lookup tables where the drop down list goes more than 100 items". I'm guessing that there are empty values for records in the table where the list item values come from. Have you checked that all these records actually contain data?

Anyway, I hope this help, but if you want to send me your database and take a look at the problem, I'm happy to do so! So if there is anything else, please just let me know!

Best Regards,
