Smile Anyone New To This, Feel free to message me to bounce ideas around

I'm developing a web application and am just moving beyond HTML and CSS. I have used and modified a few open source javascript pages, but have never used SQL before at all.

Anyone who wants to bounce ideas around with me feel free to hit me up. I know at the very least some discussion about this would do me some good.

Hi,

I've posted a couple time in the other thread. Just wanted
to say that I'm getting into this PHP & MySQL, and will also
be starting on a sample project to build my skills. So if you
have questions or want to check back here to bounce ideas
around -- that would be great.

Cheers,
Gary

Hey BP and Gary, I'm open to discussion also. I'm really looking to dig in to PHP development so I would love to hear what you guys are working on and talk about ideas.

My first project plan is to make a WP plugin. I'm hoping this isn't too extreme of an idea, we'll see what happens.

Default I am reading Andrea's book

Hi Andrea, let me say your book is very well described and easy to follow using your exercises and the case study. Just a couple of queries.
Using the dvd accompanying the book, the Movies for Lesson 10,11 and 12 are not enclosed. As Chapter Ten in your book is fairly complicated I am having difficulty in following your descriptions in the step-by-step. I have created folders and put together your instructions in Try it on pages 138, 139 and 140. I have manually keyed in the code and just printed out the download code to check and provide a rationale for using the functions and why the adding of the parameters. But I am still getting errors. I began at the very beginning of the book and have inputted the code without the need to download your code. Everything was running in Eclipse and able to see the results in my localhost. However have now come to a standstill and wondered whether you have a description in a Movie of the chapter 10 to assist me. I love your style of explanation and presentation it is so easy and comfortable to follow. If I can get over this hitch I should be able to use my own database to develop the case study further. Hope to hear from you. I have the code which I can upload if you would like to look at it.

Default Found movie for Chapter 10

Hi everyone there were no posts on this one. However found the Movie on Chapter 10. This Case study is a really good example of a work website emphasising functions and how to make building a website a really easy project using php. The fun part is getting data from the database. Looking forward to those Chapters. If there is anyone else using the case study 'an auction website' for a teaching or learning programme please make contact.
