Default Chapter 4 Basic Search Engine Help

I'm trying to implement the search engine code from the book and it's not working. (using the official code from wrox.com site itself)

I've checked the tables in my database to see if they're populating properly, and they're not. Maybe that takes awhile to create the index for a site? How long does it take to index a small 5-page site?

Is the basic code actually complete, or is something missing that isn't included that will help it to work?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!

Could you please explain your issue in further detail...
Have you added the MySQL tables from the beggining of the chapter, and if so, have you used the admin.php to create a list of URL's to be crawled?
The search function (from what I've gathered in the chapter) will only search the URL's listed, so if you have non listed, non shall be searched. But as I mentioned first up... some more detail would be helpful if you want your problem resolved.
