Default Access 2013 web app and Email

Has anyone found a way to send email from a Access 2013 web app?

The closest I’ve come is to populate a HyperLink control with a MAILTO and then have a label telling the user to “Click the link below to email”.

Email is not supported in Access 2013 web apps. It would be a wonderful addition.

Also, one possible workaround is to make use of site mailbox (which we talked about in one of chapter as an example of retrieving attachments from incoming mails), which you can then embed using web browser with URL pointing to the site mailbox. I don't know if you can get the mailbox to render without the chrome and if you can't, maybe a link to open the mailbox so they can send email right there.

Default Access 2013 E-mail

You can always go to Zapier.com and use the SQL connector to e-mail.
The Microsoft Office team has kindly detailed the process here:

Default Access 2013 E-mail

I have developed another way to send an email from a Access 2013 web app.

For more information see my web page on the subject at: http://www.applicationsplus.com/Access/Access.htm

I welcome any comments on this method. You can use my Contact form on the web site or respond to this thread.

If your method allows any user, at any location, to send email FROM the web app, that would be interesting.

Is that how this works?
