I am having trouble finding hands-on examples in "Professional Access 2013 Programming". I have the e-version of the manual and I plan to read it from page 1 to 887. I read the examples and can follow the excellent screen shots in the manual. But I am on page 200 of the manual and have yet to find instructions telling me go to the Maid To Order app, add a query, make a table, go into a view and make a macro, trace a macro, exercise an If .. Else... Then block, etc. When/how does the manual instruct me to do those things?

The screenshots are a helpful learning tool, but I learn better "hands on". I would be happy to learn that I missed a simple point someplace, or that I just haven't read enough of the manual.

What am I missing?

You can create you own Main To Order app by following the steps described in the book. Or, you can view the code in the app in the downloaded material to see it in action versus just the screenshots.
