Default EVO has no dpad

So I am adding a new icon to the menu called save item that does the same thing as the anonymous OnKeyListener.onKey
The new itemId is called SAVE_NEW_TODO.
As soon as I have the code debugged I will share it.

Can anybody think of another work around??
