I'm working with the todolist example, and I'm unable to run this app in emulator, Whenever i try to run, it shows a message saying that "unfortunately toDoList has stopped" and disappears to the App Menu. Please help me out with this.

Post the contents of the logcat/ the complete stack of errors that Eclipse or Android Studio returns. If you do not know what logcat is, I invite you to look it up on developer.android.studio or google it.
If you want to be a (succesful) developer, you'll have to explain your problems thoroughly..

LOL, just like there are 1001 ways to die, there are as many reason for an App not to run. The only way to survive is take the suggestion by geek above, and learn DDMS and debug. That is the bad news, the good news is the errors are fairly descriptive.
