For instance, at the end of chapter one, when the project is ready to be uploaded to a real webserver, I can't figure out how to make it work on a subfolder instead of the root of the website - e.g. I want to run it on http://mywebsite.com/stockdog
However, the links for e.g. "Dashboard" go to the root index.html !

I'm reading this book as well. Did you resolve your issue?

I have resolved some issues, but not this one. Still can't publish to a subfolder.
How far are you in your reading?
