Default Form Authentication

Hi,
I need some help to figure out how the Container deals with the Form authentication. I understand the steps taken, but is there anyway to change the Containers Behaviour : Instead of redirecting me to The login page do smth. else.
A servlet is doing this ? and if it is one do you know if i can change its behaviour ?
Thank You
