Remove Tomcat "Command Window"

Hi,
I can install Tomcat 5.5 as a service using either the .exe or the services.bat. The service starts invisible, as a service should. However, I need Tomcat to "interact with the desktop" to allow interprocess communications with other applications on the PC. When I tick this feature on the service's "Log On" tab & start the service the XP "Command Window" opens & TC's log appears there.

How can I make the service run invisible & interact with the desktop?
