Default VB vs. C#

Hi,

Great book! It really convinced me to take the step to migrate from asp to asp.net, which I really should have made earlier ;).

I guess you heard my question a million times before, but I'm still goingto ask it:

I've got experience in both Visual Basic/ASP VbScript and Java.

Should I choose VB.Net or C# as my main development language?

I got the idea that Microsoft preferes C# and that C# is more beautifull (I guess this is complete rubbish?) I kind a like the {} coding style more than VB's End If etc.

Kind regards,

Rutger

Choose whichever makes you most productive. Features-wise they are basically equal. MS publishes just as many samples in VB as they do in C#, and note in the book we include both languages, so its really a personal choice.
