When I try to work on the listing 8-1 I got the following error.
"Make sure that the class defined in this code file matches the 'inherits' attribute, and that it extends the correct base class (e.g. Page or UserControl) "
Without seeing your code, I'd say look at your @Page directive in the .aspx and make sure that the "Codebehind" and "Inherits" properties are set correctly (should match the codebehind file and class name in the codebehind file).
