Getting an error that reads: "The provider did not return a ProviderManifest instance." when attempting to configure the EntityDataSource using a named connection. I am using VS 2013 and (not knowing any better) I chose EF 6 when I started adding Entity models. Is there a work around or do we just forget about using EntityDataSource in VS2013 or EF6?

d2drake, no problem using EF6. It definitely has some nice features! If you are using EF6, however, you will want to download the newer EntityDataSource Control. The control was released separately. Pranav wrote a blog post about the release of the new EntityDataSource control as well as the Dynamic Data Provider. See if this post helps you. You should be able to install the EntityDataSource control from Nuget!
