Default How to handle reporting for agathas storefront?

Scott, how would you handle adding reporting screens/views to the agathas code/model? Should "reporting" be it's own model project with a separate repository that is more conducive to ad-hoc queries and flattened entities and view models?

Hi ksouthworth,

Yep you are spot on. As well as adding more unit and integration tests I am moving the project to command query responsibility segregation architecture that will provide a dumbed down view of the model for presentation/reports. It won't be pure CQRS but it will be in that spirit.I will make a commitment to the codeplex repository about this time tomorrow, it won't be finished but you should see how I am going about it. I will email you when I commit, take a look at the code and let me know what you think in regards to your question on report/presentation needs.

Cheers
Scott

Hi ksouthworth,

I have updated the code base over at http://aspnetdesignpatterns.codeplex.com/, you will see the start of the CQRS pattern.

Cheers
Scott
