Default Checking in

Hi,

Just starting this new book with great expectations. Also checking to see what type of contact we readers will have with the authors or other experts in this area.

It does make a difference ...

Best Regards,
Alan

Hi, Alan! Glad you're excited about the book and hope it is meeting your expectations. I'll try to check in here regularly, but if I miss a thread you can ping me at jon.galloway@microsoft.com and I'll head right over.

Jon

Default This Book and the 70-486 Exam

Hi!

I'm looking at this book and the exam objectives for the good old 70-486 certification exam from our fun-loving friends at Microsoft, and wondering if anyone has mapped the aforesaid objectives to the book, or if the book was written with the objectives in mind, or if the objectives were written with the book in mind. Kudos to you if you can follow that.

A cursory survey of the contents indicates that some objectives are simply not addressed, which would not be surprising, but I would like to poke this prose until I pass into the Happy Testing Grounds and emerge with a score of 701 or higher, meaning I hit that sweet spot in studying.

Good reference material is important for that exam, as Microsoft, mysteriously, withdrew the Exam Ref from even being offered for sale. I am thinking this book is a good reference for the exam.

Jon, would you mind commenting beyond "Yeah, this book is a good reference for the exam"?
