Php Error when calling the cart() control function

function cart($productid = -1) {

and the rest of the controller as normal, all should be well after that, let me know if you have any further probs and I'll see if I can help...

i downloaded the sample code which was used for professional Codeigniter books and when i installed in my localhost and run it it give me the error message "The requested URL /shopping/index/welcome/subscribe was not found on this server." in all links which i click. please anyone who can help me on how to solve this problem.
