Default Cannot login to localhost:8080/manager/html

I have followed all the instructions in the book, adding

<user username="admin" password="adim" roles="manager-gui,admin-gui"/>

to tomcat-users.xml (outside of the comments of course, ha!)

and the login pop up keeps coming up like I entered the wrong login credentials.

This is a Win 7 PC, BTW. The DIR has the proper auth settings; also, I can startup Tomcat normally.

TIA...

Tony

Default Cannot login to localhost:8080/manager/html...

Check your conf/tomcat-users.xml file again to make sure the user entry is not commented out and try it again.

Hi,

Here's a video tutorial that shows you how to install Tomcat. Hopefully this will resolve your installation problem.
