Default Walking through walls

Hi Trevor,

I have a small problem - I loaded a mesh in a FloorPlanEntity and the robot passes straight through it.

I used a program that I made to generate the .obj file from a .bmp file, but the program was simply a compilation of code you provided. The VSE generates the mesh visually, but a robot will pass straight through it.

I have tried giving it mass and density, also I have made sure the robot is enabled, as well as making sure that the Flags are set to Kinematic. I also noticed that the mesh went through the ground, but raising it does not help either. I also tried to set the flags to Ground with no effect.

Is the floorplan entity the right thing to be using? I tried using the heightfield entity but that won't even load the mesh. I wish I could figure this thing out. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Quintin

It's all good, Mike Wyrzykowski from MIcrosoft suggested the TriangleMeshEntity - it works like a charm!

Well, like a simulated charm...

You know what I mean!

Anyway, the solution will be on my blog:

Hi Qunitin,

Glad you got it sorted. I'll catch up with Mike soon.
