Default Ch 13 Export Excel ... fails with Excel 2007

In the Ch 13 Export Excel example, if I set the Excel Version to Microsoft Excel 2007 (as instructions indicate) for the Excel Connection Manager, then for the Excel Destination clicking the New... button next to the Name of the Excel sheet drop down results in the Excel Destination Editor closing down entirely. No Create Table form appears.

If I set the Excel Version to 97 - 2003 for the Excel Connection Manager, then everything works as instructions indicate. I have Excel 2013 installed on my computer.

Has anyone gotten this example to work with Excel 2007? If so, what version of Excel do you have loaded?
