In Chapter 15, section Monitoring Data Flow Execution, there are events listed that I do not find in my list of Events in Sql Server Data Tools for Visual Studio 11.0.50727.1 RTMREL. I don't have any of the 'Pipeline' events: PipelineBufferLeak, PipelineComponentTime, PipelioneExecutionPlan, PipelineExecutionTrees, PipelineInitialization.

Does anyone know how I can get these events in my list?

When I first clicked 'Logging...' and then the Details tab, the Vendor Data and Data Flow check boxes are set, and my event list did not contain the events as I described.

Then I clicked the Data Flow check box, and the check symbol greyed out.

I clicked the greyed check symbol and it disappeared.

I clicked the empty check box, and the check symbol appeared and then the Pipeline events appeared.

I feel like I am playing a computer game that requires a nonsensical set of actions to move along.
