Chapter 6 (A Sample Collaborative Solution) walks through the code to attach to the Item.Added event of a Sharepoint list. No problem there. However, to deploy the solution to GAC you suggest using a console application, for which you provide example code. My problem is that there are no instructions on how to deploy this console application. Could you provide me with instructions to fill this missing information?

Hopefully a simple one this. On page 245 it mentions adding new headers for Staff and Job Lists and removing the unwanted headers. However on my system it requires that a header has a URL (default being /hiringmanagement/_layouts/viewlsts.aspx?BaseType=0 that displays all Lists defined on the site).

Question: Is there a way of assigning a List (i.e. Department, Jobs etc) to a category and then assigning the header a URL that filters the display to just Lists in that category?

OR: Is there a URL that allows you to specify what Lists are displayed? i.e. is there an argument to the viewlsts.aspx page that does this?

The alternative seems to be to use the default URL that displays all Lists configured for the site (i.e. the URL above) as I can't leave it blank.

Or am I missing something?

When attempting to use the description found on pages 258-259 I'm getting an error from the console application.

Apparently it says it can't find file or assembly. Could you please explain how to identify the actual file?

Placing the Xyz.HumanResources.dll file into the C:\Windows\Assemblies directory is a no go as Windows will not allow it.

Found the information on how to deploy the dll to the GAC on page 211. A cross-reference in the book would be most helpful.
