Wink Tabs Editing JavaScripts in SP 2013

I have a task to edit a set of tabs in a site in SP 2013. When I edit the page then try to edit the webpart I can see the pages and links to the pages, however, I am not able to edit these areas in order to add more links (sites) to a particular title (page). I believe that it is a JavaScript which I cannot edit either. Anyone has a good idea on what I can do in order to get this issue resolved. I am new in this company and I am feeling upset about not being able to resolve this particular issue. Someone wants me to edit the Jscript in Visual Studio 2013 but I am not sure if that's the route I should take.... Someone please give me some ideas.... Thank you!
