FYI: In chapter 12 when the author mentions the IAuthorizationExtension place holder was created but actual function might not make it to version 1. Based on the BOL; it did not.

Okay, if it didn't make it into the BOL did it get documented anywhere?

It is a module I really want to make use of, we use our own security model here so it may be exactly what we want.

I have seen no documentation on this anywhere. I recommend downloading Eric Loeders Reflector and examining the assemblies. It is not going to be trivial. I am still experimenting myself, and I don't want to give you any bad info, so I am going to keep my mouth shut until I have a working implementation.
