Default Multi-columns in a sub-report

In Chapter 3 it says to create a report for the wide headers and then use a multi-column report for the data. I tried this but the sub report does not show as multi-column. Checking out a newsgroup, this action was confirmed by a Microsoft person that a multi-column report does lose this formating when used as a sub report. This would seem to say that the book is incorrect, as logical as this option would be good.

Has anyone been able to get this to work?

Neil
