Hello, My issue/question pertains to the restoration process of a TFS to another server.

Under Chapter 21: Disaster Recovery there is a small section on restoring to different hardware. It is rather annoying that this rather fundamental administration task is given such a small amount of space and only defers to Microsoft KB articles.

However what becomes infuriating is that the article referenced only refers to TFS 2010. The restoration process for the 2 versions are different and you cannot apply one to the other. For example the command TFSConfig PrepSQL doesn't even exist within 2012.

This has left me less than impressed and feel underwhelmed by the lack of research by the authors and editor.

Has anyone performed a restoration of TFS 2012 standard to another server?
