now i have created a application id named startup.sample whith display name "startup.sample" in a pool,and in the Lync clinet,i can also see it,but the state is off-line,so what can i do to make it state comes to be online...

Are you still having trouble with this?
Did you already start up a collaboration platform and establish an endpoint? To get the application to show up with an Available presence in Lync, you'll need to publish presence for it, as discussed in Chapter 9.
