Thumbs up Great Book!

Whilst I generally use Intellisense, VS Help, MSDN, Web Search (in that order) to work things out, its great to have such a comprehensive treatise on VS 2008 on your desk. It enables you to browse through topics to get an indepth discussion.
I particularly liked the Generics etc in chapter 11 as well the Language-Specific material (especially VB's my and its possible use in C#) in chapter 12.

Great work Nick and David.
Looking forward to your VS 2010 version

djaus

Thanks for the feedback djaus. It's nice to hear that you've found it useful.

We're just putting the finishing touches to the next edition, Professional Visual Studio 2010, this week. You can take a sneak-peek at the table of contents at http://www.professionalvisualstudio....oks/ProVS2010/. It's due to be released in early May.

In the new edition we've added a whole bunch of new chapters for all of the new application platforms and frameworks supported by Visual Studio including SharePoint, Dynamic Data, Windows Azure, ADO.NET Entity Framework, and RIA Services. Also, almost all of the code examples are shown in both VB and C#.

Thanks again,
David

Those new topics will be well received. I've just been writing a What's New in VS 2010 paper and those topics are listed. Looking forwards to seeing the new book.
Cheers
