Post Ch 22: Silverlight Out of Box Applications

I worked through the example to set an application to be run out of box. The text states that, when run from VS2010, there will be a right click menu (on the browser) with an option to install the application -- including start menu listing and a desktop short cut. When I run the sample application with F5, it is not displayed in the browser at all, but only in an application window. There is a right click menu option to remove the installation. However, there is not any installation to remove. Ideas?

Default

This is because you have set the Silverlight project as the startup project in your solution. You should also have a .Web project, which should be set as the startup project instead. When you do so, the application will load in the browser and provide you with the options.

Hope this helps...
