Default Chapter 6: DUPLEX example

page 198:

public class CallbackHandler : TCP.IServiceClassCallBack
{
  public void Calculate(int result)
  {
    Console.WriteLine(result);
  }
}
--> The above code is not correct. Nothing is shown in textBox1.

Can anyone help?

Hi,

Is the duplex example is working? I just used the downloaded from wrox site and while running the client i am getting the below runtime error.

HTTP could not register URL http://+:80/Temporary_Listen_Address...-e87c4485dc0d/ because TCP port 80 is being used by another application.

I am using VS2008 RTM version and running in Win XP SP2.

Any ideas will be apperciated.

Everyone,

I have fixed the example and the new code is posted up on the Wrox web site. As I stated earlier, I fixed this a few weeks ago and asked anyone who wants it to email me directly and I will send the code until it is posted.

As far as I know, the code was posted on Wednesday.

Prakash,

These examples were written using VS 2005, not 2008. I know there were some changes to WCF in 2008.

All,

I have all examples through chapter 8 working in VS2008. If anyone needs project samples, let me know and I will be happy to e-mail them to you.

Just e-mail me at [email protected] if you would like the vs2008 examples.
