Default amazing book

Hi Rod,
This book is realy amazing and it is all what i was looking for. I have allready seen that you are writing a same book about VB.

Can you also write such a book about Java? I'm studying for the moment programming in the eveningschool and now it is c# but next year it will be Java.

Ok, i just saw that the book about java is gonna be released soon. Anyway, continue the good work of writing those books.

Yes, there's a Java book coming out by Yakov Fain. I haven't read any books by Yakov but it should follow the same basic template: relatively short lessons with Try Its at the end and screencasts showing the solutions.

Java is very similar to C# so you should have no problems moving to it when you school requires you to.

Default Excellent book

Rod, I really liked this book as well as other 24 hour trainer series like asp.net and sql server integration services. Please keep this trend of producing great books like the 24 hour trainer series. Just a suggestion that I put in another posting also is to use another fomat other than flv since flv is so blurry. I know people on amazon.com also found it really bothersome based on their comments.

I don't really have much input into the format of the screencasts. The publisher hires a company to build the DVD. I think an issue is how much compression is needed to fit it all on there. It's a fairly big screen and lot of material (I do ramble on sometimes ;-).

But I can at least pass your comment along. Perhaps there's something they can do.
