Default Using User's Guide with Umbraco 5

I just bought the Umbraco User's Guide and installed Umbraco using the Web Platform Installer. The version that was installed is Umbraco 5, which does not appear to have the same Starter Kits or other options as shown in the book.

Can I download and install Umbraco 4.6.1 side-by-side with Umbraco 5 so I can follow along with the book? Should I uninstall Umbraco 5 first (and if so, how?) Or ist here some way I can get my Umbraco 5 installation to more closely match what I'm seeing in the User's Guide so I can more easily follow along.

Umbraco 5 appears to have only one starter kit named Umbraco DevDataSet. I'd really like to be able to use the different starter kits mentioned in the User's Guide so I can learn from those examples. I also don't see the "Install Starter Kit" option in the Packages tree in the Umbraco Developer section as mentioned at the bottom of page 22, but I did find the starter kits online at http://our.umbraco.org/projects/starter-kits that I could review.

Please let me know whether I should install Umbraco 4.6.1 in order to follow along with the book, and if so whether I can install it side-by-side with Umbraco 5 or if I should uninstall 5 before installing 4.6.1.
