Default Ch 3: Create items in Which Task List ?

Can someone who has done the Chapter 3 examples successfully
Please confirm/comment : Page 48 - Create The Tasks

MY New hire On-boarding task has 3 items (doesn't seem right)
Figure 3-10 shows Create New Item in the New Hire On-boarding Task

The IT, AP & Security Tasks didn't get any Data loaded in them

Is this correct, the workflow is attached to New hire List and the workflow
adds 3 items to the On-Boarding task but nothing to the other 3 tasks: IT,AP & Security; according to Figure 3-10

Was I supposed to Create New Items for these 3 other Tasks like Figure 3-10;
? Create 1 item in each of the On-boarding, IT, AP, Security Tasks Lists

? Or is there a parent/child relationship that should have opened them in Fig 3-10

Thanks for any feedback, Ch 4,5 seems to be going OK.. 3's kinda cheesy

Default Yes, Chapter 3 is a bit dicey

It took me a week to get a comfortable understanding. And I say that while noting that others on this board seem to have varied experiences with it.

There is only one task-related list "New Hire ON-boarding Tasks". You are creating 3 separate tasks on the same list -- one task each for IT, AP, and Security. That is really important as each of these tasks will have a unique ID in the New Hire On-boarding Tasks list, and share the same HR New Hire list ID.

In addition to a very careful reading with the chapter corrections in hand, it is also important to realize that there is another look-up list called New Hire Task Descriptions. This look-up list has 3 records in it. The 3 records will have a title equal to "IT", "AP" and "Security". The New Hire Task Description (no s) field will contain the standard boilerplate instructions for each team within the new hire process.

After the problem is solved the solution seems so simple. Be encouraged, if I can do it anyone can.
