Can you please not post the same question 10 times in different forums? That makes it pretty hard for others to track a thread.
Anyway, I think this is by design. Your Parent form determines the look and feel of the controls. So, if you want to change some of the parent controls, change them on the parent form instead. Child controls (that is, controls placed on a child form directly) should be fully editable.
