Hello,

 The current need of my project is to progamatically manipulate Access Control List. This is to reset the list for a WebDav Folder.
I have the basic idea of how to implement a webDAv folder on IIS. But after this how to go ahead with it in C# is a question for me. Please can anyone help me out on this issue.

    First of all thanks a lot for replying. I totally agree with you about the topic being interesting one. But since I am new to ASP.NET I am facing challenges to achieve this. And on the websites also I find few of them helpful or explainatory enough.

  I am working on WebDAV and ASP.Net. I have the basic knowledge of how to implement WebDAV on IIS. This I plan to achieve without using MS Exchange server which i believe can be be done.

  But After this i have no idea of how to proceed in ASP.NEt to manipulate this webDAV folder via ASP.NET programatically.

  Please can you advise and guide me of how to go ahead on this topic.

If its going to be used inhouse than you should look for some
FTP folders based or similar solution.

Playing with ACLs of folders on behest of people accessing your
application on web doesnt sound like a smart idea to me.

You can simulate Files/Folders type functionality through your code in
ASP.NET though. Instead of ACLs you make use of Roles/Users based
authentication which get implemented so natuaraly in ASP.NET and
so easly with its Admin Tool.

Having said that, I'll add that I'm not an expert of these issues.
Moreover, this query is actually not about ACLs so may be you should try
posting it to one of the ASP.NET or Web rooms.
