Default does comonent (timer) will occupy a lot of CPU

does anyone know using comonent (timer) will occupy a lot of CPU resources ?

Yes.I think it should be. As it calculates the time, and that process is accomploshed using the CPU memory only.
So It must consume more resources than any other control available in .NET.
