how to calculate bandwidth

Hi Friends

i am facing one problems to calculate for my clients.
how to calculate the bandwidth for the donwloed content.
right now i am using

(viewed file size * no of views = bandwidth)
but my calculation is differ from my CDN(content distribution Network) calculation?
can any body help for that
